Wear to exterior includes rubbing, minor soiling, bumping to edges revealing boards in some places, minor bowing to boards, light writing in pencil to top corner of front board, and a small chip to paper on front board. Slight creasing to and bubbling to paper on front board and to paste down on front board. Minor soiling to end papers and paste downs, crease to bottom corner of front free end paper and title page, pencil decoration to margins of illustrated title page and the last page of the introduction, as well as the blank verso of one of the illustrated pages. Interior hinges have been expertly repaired. Minor smudging and a few spots of foxing to margins and blank versos. Illustrations are clean and bright. Binding is tight.
